Youth Padded Camp (Grade 1-7)
WHAT IS SKILLS CAMP? This camp is an opportunity for YOUTH entering into grades 1-7 to be coached by our Varsity coaches at Memorial Stadium, home of the Sandites. We will focus on fundamentals necessary to become proficient in youth football and give youngsters the building blocks necessary as a Sand Springs Youth football player. We will teach the heads Up Tackling System adopted by USA Football to reinforce safety in our beloved sport. We will emphasize and teach the proper techniques: * Heads Up Blocking * Heads Up Tackling * Ball Handing (handoffs, pitches, snaps) * Passing and Receiving Game Day Experience / Competition (Last Day) * Pre-Game Varsity Run Through (Picture Opportunity) * Varsity Spirit Squads in attendance

I realize that participating in sports/camps can be dangerous and serious injuries may result. My son/daughter has my permission to participate in the camp I am signing up for. I give my permission for my child to receive emergency medical care in the event I am not in attendance at the event or I can not be reached. It is our understanding that SAND SPRINGS PUBLIC SCHOOLS, its ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT, its, BOARD OF EDUCATION, and its Coaches will not assume the responsibility or obligation for any medical bills, or debts resulting from any injury to the signed up camper while participating at camp or practicing or playing in any practice sessions, scrimmages, or contest
